In all of the homes we have rented over the years this beautiful family home at 44 Trumpet Creeper is our absolute favorite!!! It was perfect for our family in every way. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us ! We loved every magical moment we were there. This is the only home we will rent again when we come back to Kiawah . We loved the heated pool and floor plan if this home!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We can’t wait to return!
This is a very nice house. It is beautifully furnished and well appointed. We enjoyed the pool. It was worth the small added expense to heat it at this time of year.
With 4 bedrooms and baths, this house was perfect for our family vacation! We also enjoyed the large, well-equipped kitchen and large dining space, and, of course, the pool. The 5 minute bike ride to the beach is along a peaceful, tree-lined path. This was our second stay, and we will be back!
We absolutely love this home. Our favorite house on the Island
Very enjoyable place. The pool was great.
Very good to excellent overall. Bike ride to beach is 0.8 mile, mostly on Alley of the Oaks which is a picturesque path. Very clean and kitchen is well appointed. Pool is up to 5 feet at one end with nice surrounding patio for lounging. Some traffic noise from Governors Drive, but not a bother for us and lessens later in the day.
This beautiful, well maintained home was perfect for our family getaway. We traveled with our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons, ages 12 & 15. The home is furnished and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked with everything and anything you could possibly need to enjoy meals at home, plus the gas grill was an added perk. We loved having the convenience of a pool but also enjoyed the beach which is easily accessible by bicycle. I would not hesitant to rent this home again. This trip was our family’s third experience working with PHE and as in the past, it was a pleasure! Excellent service and staff, a special “thank you” to Brian!
The pictures for this house really don't do it justice. The front door opens to a beautiful courtyard pool. The interior rooms are spacious, with high ceilings. The "kitchen" table comfortably seats 6, and the dining table 12. The split layout with 2 bedrooms in the main house, and 2 bedrooms in the guest house was very private. Beach access was challenging for those with limited mobility.
Overall, it was the perfect quarantine getaway.
Property was spotless and well maintained! The layout with the pool was perfect for our family. Thank you!
Comfortable beds, plenty of large rooms, relaxing atmosphere. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this house. We had the pool heated in late November and by mid week it was as warm as bath water. Great time for the Grandkids. Very nice house to stay at. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Only thing missing was an oyster shucker but we always travel with one. Highly recommended rental.
This is the first time in over 25 years that we opted to rent off the immediate beach area at Kiawah in order to get a pool and the desired sleeping accommodations. We rented bikes for all 6 adults plus a chariot for the young children and a trailer for the gear. And it all worked out perfectly. 44 Trumpet Creeper was a perfect choice with the guest rooms and king beds for all. The pool was a welcome mid afternoon refuge for the grandchildren and offered the adults a place to relax and kick back while the children played in the pool. ( the adults too ). The kitchen and other amenities were totally equipped and made for easy living. 44 Trumpet Creeper will certainly be on the return list for next summer.
This was the perfect place for our family vacation. We loved the layout of the house, perfect for adult children! The grandchildren loved the private pool. The kitchen was large and spacious, completely stocked. Activities included many bike rides to the beach, golf outings, paddle boarding and a trip to Charleston.
Great home away from home!
This is a beautiful home, tastefully decorated, on a quiet street. Our family of 7 included 2 teenage boys who's only complaint was sharing a kingbed. The property was very clean and well maintained. Kitchen included everything any cook could possibly want. Dishwasher could use updating, and one burner on gas range was not working. Screened porch was a pleasant spot to relax. Light blankets should be available, so lovely spreads don't have to be used at night! Our group used the pool extensively and rode miles on the rented bikes. Would recommend this property if being closer to t he beach isn't a priority. Beautiful home and a most pleasant place to vacation!
We had a wonderful long weekend in Kiawah. The property was beautiful. Well maintained, spacious, and so comfortable & relaxing. Would absolutely stay again!
Thanks for the great review of 44 Trumpet Creeper. We're so happy you found the home comfortable and relaxing. Give us a call when you're ready to book your next trip to Kiawah!
Parents owned 42 Trumpet Creeper Lane for many years, so we knew the location was great. 44 Trumpet is a great house to rent, it has 4 large Bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The Kids really enjoyed the pool since it had sun all day. The house was very kid friendly. we really enjoyed our stay and will be returning in the future. MICHAEL/SONJA
Wonderful vacation w/3 generations, split between two houses. House was perfect for grandparents, parents and college age kids -- they loved their separate sleeping space. House was very clean when we arrived. Is in good condition and well equipped.
Pool area very pleasant and receives both sun & shade. We rent all over the country. This is definitely a house we would recommend. My only complaint is no beach towels. When you are flying with a family beach towels take up lots of suitcase space:(
This property is wonderful. Close to beach and conference center.
44 Trumpet Creeper Lane was a wonderful rental. Six of us stayed very comfortably and enjoyed all of the amenities the property has to offer. The pool was especially enjoyable after a day at the beach. The only drawback was ants on the patio surrounding the pool. The beach was an easy bike ride away. We've stayed at Kiawah multiple times and at many different places. We plan to stay at 44 Trumpet Creeper again!
Awesome. Kiawah Island and 44 trumpet creeper was perfect for our vacation with another family of 4. 8 of us total stated here. 4 adults. 4 kids. The kids, ages 13 and 12 stayed in the wing of the house closest to pool. Adults stayed in the part with the kitchen, living room, etc. house was gorgeous and stocked with everything we needed. Short bike ride to beach.
We loved it here! The home was beautiful and very well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked. They've thought of everything. The bedrooms were well decorated and the beds were very comfortable. It was so fun to have our own pool for a week and you could clearly see it from the kitchen. The kids could swim while I got some meals together.
My favorite part about Kiawah was the bike paths. They were easy to ride, shaded, well kept. I think I could have ridden all day. It was fun riding to the beach and to get ice cream.
The worst part about our trip was having to leave. I hope to be back some day!
Good location in the middle of Vanderhorst. Great house for families or up to four couples. The WIFI is not good so do not plan on using your computer/handhelds
Our group consisted of 4 couples. We had a great time golfing and exploring Charleston.
5 of us had a wonderful week. The home was spacious and comfortable. Decor was well done and kitchen well equipped. The bike ride to the beach was just enough. Not too long or short.
I debated on writing a review regarding this home, because I'm not quite certain that I want the world to know about this hidden gem. We have rented homes on the islands for years, and this one...hands the best that we have ever stayed in. The photos on the website simply do not adequately reflect how beautiful this home is. Aside from the impeccable architecture, gorgeous interior design, the 'flow' and set up of the home is absolute perfection for large families. The home feels sprawling when you are inside and the bedrooms are very large and comfortable. Even the beach could not lure us away from the home during the days, as we spent nearly every day by the pool and our mornings drinking coffee in the beautiful screened in porch. The house was so well-stocked with essentials and was immaculately clean when we checked in.
The owners also did not skimp on ensuring that the kitchen was well-stocked with great cookware and kitchen preparation tools (which we appreciated because we cooked at home most nights). Having the bikes provided for us by the owners was also just a nice bonus.
While the house is located a bit further from the beach than what we have been typically used to, it was a very short bike ride and very walkable if you don't mind getting a little exercise. For those with young children, it only takes a minute via car to drive to the beach and drop everyone off.
Truly, I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this lovely property.
Kudos to the owners and Pam Harrington's Team for creating such a lovely home that served as a wonderful respite for my family's vacation.
Cheers! Kristin Reese
We had 2 families with small children staying here for a week and the set was perfect. The pool was absolutely key to the success of the week as the beach was easily bike-able, but a long walk. We rented books with the chariot attachment for the kids and it worked perfectly. The only slight complaint that I had was in the second bedroom in the main house, the air conditioning compressor is located directly on the other side of the wall behind the headboard of the bed. It is quite loud every time the unit turns on and took a few nights to get used to. I would probably flip the layout of the room and put the bed on the other wall.. Beyond that, the house is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable.
The house was perfect for us. It was even better than we expected. Any problems that came up were taken care of promptly. When the grill wasn't in good condition, they replaced it the next day.
The home is beautiful inside and out! The kitchen is equipped better than mine at home! We loved the layout of the house. It provided private time for both adults and teenagers! I would love to rent this house again! Thanks Pam!
