What a wonderful home, we have been vacationing in Kiawah for many years and this time we decided for a house. We had a great time. It has very secluded, very peaceful. The house was so open, the kitchen was wonderful. We enjoyed the screening porch every day.
We enjoyed the location of this house and all of its features — from the screened in porch to a well-outfitted kitchen to the ping pong table.
The property was wonderful. Great experience, very relaxing, and convenient to everything on the island! Definitely would return.
Reasonably priced house with decent amenities. Somewhat dated, could use updating. Lacks more modern features in bathrooms that many are used to at home and when traveling.
The house was perfect! Very spacious, clean and had everything we needed to accommodate our whole family. We go to Kiawah every year and have stayed in several houses. We would definitely rent this one again.
Thank you for reviewing the home at 239 Glen Abbey. It's great to hear you had everything you needed for the whole family! Give us a call when you're ready to plan your next Kiawah vacation.
Rented this home for Spring break with my family. Great home and another great Pam Harrington Rental.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at 239 Glen Abbey. We're happy to hear you had another great experience renting from Pam Harrington! Hope to see you back on Kiawah soon!
Our experience was great. House was clean and met our expectations. No surprises. We had one minor maintenance issue that arose and it was promptly dealt with.
Pam Harrington Rentals is "spot on". No questions were left unanswered. This was our 2nd vacation in Kiawah. We needed more room than where we stayed last year, and this house was perfect. The 2 bedrooms/2 baths upstairs were quiet as my daughter with her 2 kids were in the master bedrm downstairs. There was a room off the master which was perfect for her kids. Loved the large back deck with grill. Also loved the screened porch when it rained.
Great location to walk or bike ride to the beach. Jasmine restaurant was excellent. We took advantage of the Sunday night kids activity at Heron Park which was fun. We took part of one day and visited Firefly Distillery (about a 30 min. drive from Kiawah). Really fun. Had lunch at Tatooed Moose afterward which was recommended and good. Several nights we walked on the beach and enjoyed the quietness, stars and crabs! Bring a flashlight! This year we rented beach umbrellas and chairs which were well worth the cost - they were set up and ready when we arrived at the beach. Clean beach. We rented bikes again which were delivered and waiting for us upon arrival. Had a great vacation!
Fantastic house! Loved almost everything about it! It was perfect for two families. The house is set up in a way that each family can sleep on different sides of the house. Loved the enclosed porch. The floor plan of the house was great; allowing a group to play cards at the round table in the kitchen while another group enjoyed the tv in the family room. We used the laundry room everyday. Kiawah is beautiful!
Wonderful 4 bedroom house that suited our needs perfectly. Love the soothing green blue color on the walls. The house looks out towards the 12th (?) hole of Turtle Pt Golf Course. Pam Harrington Exclusives answered any questions I had no matter how trivial. They are the best rental company on Kiawah Island!
Loved 239 Glenn Abbey. Beautiful colors inside. Well stocked kitchen. Better than pictures portray and better than outside of house looks. No bugs. House is now gold color outside. Access to garage was wonderful during rainy days. Outside shrubs around driveway need cutting. Cars unable to turn in drive without hitting shrubbery. No propane tank for grill. But totally enjoyed our stay. Would rent here again.
Thank you for pointing this out. We will put a note on the grill going forward. This grill has a gas liine , all you have to do is turn the handle.
This house was beautiful! I am a self-professed clean freak and the house was spotless. The only reason that I did not give 4 stars for cleanliness and general condition is that we did see several roaches/palmetto bugs in the house (bathroom, bedroom and kitchen). I understand that they are part of life in coastal SC, but it did put me off that there were so many (6-8) in the house. The furnishings and linens were all top-quality. The amount of supplies (soap, detergent, toilet paper and paper towels, etc.) was extremely generous. The kitchen was also well appointed. The bedroom set-up was perfect for our two families, with two bedrooms on each side of the house. The large table was perfect for the 8 of us to be able to eat together. The location was very nice. It is right on the golf course and about a 7-minute walk to the beach. The beach is gorgeous. I would recommend taking water shoes as there are lots of shells in the water and they can cut your foot when you step on them. My only other recommendation would be to put more private window coverings in the bathroom over-looking the driveway. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely go back to Kiawah and stay in 239 Glen Abbey!
