Beautiful home,close to the beach
Comfortable, spacious home. 5 minute walk to the beach. Big kitchen with plenty of equipment. Roomy bedrooms, each with en-suite bath. No real outdoor space - courtyard deck has no furniture and screen porch is dark and not very inviting. Not much of a problem in chilly December, but summer might be different.

Near beach in Kiawah
The house was great for our family. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and there was plenty of space. The kitchen could use a few things (especially potholders - there were none to be found), but overall it was a great house right next to the bike path to the beach.

Paradise Found
Our vacation week on Kiawah Island was a dream come true. We loved our rental inside and out and the Island is a hidden paradise. One of the best family vacations in years. Our Children and Grandchildren voted to make Kiawah an annual event and we have already booked for next year. Our house was gorgeous and so very clean. The kitchen was very well supplied for our cooking needs, the beds were comfortable and the location was ideal for a short walk to the beach. Thank you for sharing your special Island with us. See you next year!

Rental for 10/31, 11/1 and 11/2
We very much enjoyed staying at the home at 121 Surfscoter Lane. We had traveled from Massachusetts to Fayetteville, NC an stayed one night at a small home through airbnb. They had a Kuerig coffee maker and a selection of coffees, along with breakfast cereal, soda, water and snacks. I would have expected something similar at the Kiawah home. I also would have appreciated salt and pepper--a simple thing but I would never have expected to bring my own. The only other suggestion is that the master bedroom bathroom looks like it needs an update. Everything else was quite lovely and we were very happy to stay in this home. It was just a short walk to the beautiful beach and convenient to all of the wedding venues we were attending.

Beautifully renovated light-filled home!
The location and wooded privacy of this home are perfect for enjoying the entire island and the nearby beach. The large light-filled living and dining area is a perfect gathering spot with bedrooms located on the other end for maximum quiet and privacy. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to call while we were on Kiawah.

Our best experience yet!
Great location, especially with a grand baby. Could always make quick trips back and forth from the beach if necessary. Large, spacious feel, beautifully decorated, and instantly welcoming. Having an outdoor shower was a wonderful surprise. We loved the privacy of the enclosed deck for morning coffee and then later in the day the screened porch was a second oasis for a cool drink and a good book. We have found the perfect spot for our family's vacation needs.

Everything was wonderful on the property. The decor was nice and the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied. Overall an amazing property that was very close to the beach.

GREAT room
Six of us stayed in this house for the week of Thanksgiving and it was a perfect fit for us. The combined kitchen/dining/living space is perfect! It is spacious and comfortable and was big enough for our group and a number of guests. We loved it! The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishware, drinking glasses, silverware, and cookware. We also appreciated having plenty of dish and dishwasher soap, paper towels, and even laundry soap! The bedrooms were comfortable and large enough to accommodate the suitcases and assorted stacks of stuff that accumulate when you travel. We loved how close the house is to the beach! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would rent this house again.

Great Vacation!
We have been vacationing in Kiawah for 18 years. This is our first time staying at this property. It was wonderful! The house was clean and uncluttered. The kitchen was spacious as well as the living area. You can't beat the location to the beach. Would absolutely rent again!

The property was perfect as described. The kitchen was well maintained with all new appliances. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The master suite was a relaxing oasis at the end of the day. Our favorite dinner location was the Sanctuary.

Another Great Vacation with Pam Harrington
After previous stays in the Sparrow Pond cottages, we booked this year in a Night Heron area cottage. However, there was an issue with that property, and we had to pick another location. The Pam Harrington staff were very helpful in offering alternatives, and they mentioned the possibility of a kitchen remodel in this house prior to arrival. That knowledge swayed us to this property. We were surprised to be the first guests following the remodel, which has really enhanced and upgraded the look of the kitchen area. We found a couple minor issues, one of which seemed to be a lack of electricity to the new dishwasher. One call to the Pam Harrington office prompted quick fixes to all the issues. We did not have to change our plans in anyway to accommodate the repairs. They were very courteous and attentive to our concerns. This property is sprawling. The layout allows a lot of privacy. It would be wonderful for extended families and friends. It was almost too big for our family of 4, but we somehow found no problem adjusting to all that space. The wooded area feels private, yet it is a very short walk to the beach.

perfect house for our family's visit to Kiawah
House designed for private and comfortable gathering spaces. convenient to beach; quiet, though on bike path. Would definitely rent again. Suggestions for kitchen supplies: sharp knives, larger refrigerator/freezer;
storage containers, other general food prep tools. Generous with providing paper goods, cleaning supplies.

First Visit to Beautiful Kiawah
This unique house, with its central courtyard surrounded by sliding glass doors on three sides, provided an airy and pleasant "home away from home" during our stay on the island. We appreciated the large Master Suite and the new floors. The location was quiet and shady, and, when not at the nearby beach, the children enjoyed riding their bikes on the cul-de-sac. The "vintage" kitchen (and, alas, drapes that wouldn't close in the Master BR) only added character! :) Overall, the house was functional and fit our needs. Thank you!

Perfect Beach Vacation
We had a very nice stay on Kiawah. 121 is a pretty cool house with a great location and floor plan. There is plenty of room in this home and it has all of the necessities. The short walk to the beach cannot be beat w/o being beachfront. We went to the west end of the island each day at low tide to see some sea life and were even lucky enough to see the dolphins feeding. Kiawah is a great place and this house is nice. Can't beat the location.

Great Location/Very Comfortable/Great Layout of the House
This house is really wonderful in terms of its' layout, outdoor gas grill, outdoor deck, screened porch and location. The indoor furniture was very comfortable. The porch furniture is a bit dated but comfortable. The kitchen is equipped though sharper knives for cutting/chopping would be helpful. The house is next to the bike path for beach access. I would select this home again!

121 Surfscoter
We have been coming to Kiawah and using Pam Harrington for many years. 121 Surfscoter is in the perfect location. We have a growing family (grandchildren) so next year if they're all able to come we may have to look for a larger rental. I hope we can find something comparable with a 4th bedroom in the same area. We had an issue with the WiFi not working but it was fixed by Monday. Personally, I enjoyed being "unplugged" for a couple of days. Love Kiawah and Pam Harrington Exclusives!

All In One!
Fabulous!!! Sister, brother, and I, all spouses, children and grandchildren set a date each year for family vacation. We used to get a big house, and children slept on bunks, couches, floors. This was the first year we've
each had our own children and grands, and we loved having them with us to ourselves (one son in CA, other in D.C.), except beach/bike/some mealtimes together. Love the deck, trees, deer, and alligators(?) Thanks!

great location, great layout, somewhat dated appointments
Very spacious house extremely close to the beach. There is a very nice screen porch although the furniture on the porch is quite old and worn. The house has a nice layout with separation between the common spaces and the bedroom wing. The kitchen is very large with lots of counter space however the appliances are relatively old. The same is true for the bathroom fixtures other than those in the master bath.

15th Year
We had a great time as usual in Kiawah. The air conditioning units broke down, luckily on separate days but the issues were addressed in a very timely manner. We did have an issue with the air conditioner that cools the living space last year as well. We love being a short walk to the beach. The unit could use an extra set of silverware, seems like we were washing forks and knives all the time. We love Kiawah!

Annual Renter. First time during Spring Break
At least one member of our family has been renting / staying in a Pam Harrington home every year since the early 1990's. We have never been disappointed. This was our first time to Kiawah on Spring Break. 121 Surfscoter is a GREAT house that is very close to the beach (1 minute walk). The beach was quiet this time of the year, but busier (because of proximity to the Owners Club) during peak summer times (we have stayed on Surfscoter 2 other times). The layout of the house was great. The kitchen is a wonderful "cooking" kitchen and is well equipped with kitchenware. The house was well maintained and very clean. We would definitely recommend 121 Surfscoter.

Love the layout of this house and location! Would like to see upgrades in the kitchen, i.e. the microwave and dishwasher(detergent cup is broken)as well as to the uncomfortable rugs in the house(painful to the feet!). Overall, we love the house and look forward to staying there again - great space for our family and room to ride bikes and quiet at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Wonderful week in Kiawah
I loved my vacation in Kiawah. The beach was great and the island is beautiful. We enjoyed the rental very much. The house was clean but needed some minor repairs which were taken care of. The landscaping needed a bit of help, and the barbecue should be replaced. The house was in a great location, very convenient to walk to the beach.
