In 1978, while an exciting new lifestyle along the Carolina Lowcountry coast was still being created, a small company – Pam Harrington Exclusives – started assisting discerning resort island visitors in finding luxury accommodations and premium real estate.
Initially, the company's activity was largely centered around those resort island homeowners who wished to rent their properties during the peak season. Today, Pam Harrington Exclusives not only represents the finest rentals on Kiawah Island, but is one the area's leaders in luxury real estate sales – a transition that's only natural.
Successfully meeting the needs of seasonal island visitors was a perfect training ground for satisfying those clients who eventually chose to stay.
Today, the Kiawah name is world famous – largely because it's original charisma and natural appeal have never been compromised. The same is true of neighboring Seabrook Island – still quiet, low key and essentially residential. Both islands have passed the test of time in terms of development and property values. In fact, their concept is expanding. New areas of nearby Johns Island – including Bohicket Marina and the beautiful Andell property – are currently being planned.
